In recent years the Emotional AI Lab has critically accounted for the social impact of technologies that pertain to measure and engage with human interiority, exemplified in this recent open access book. With new friends and partners, AEGIS brings that work forward to make a global impact.

Through standards development with IEEE and globally-minded workshops and engagement, the AEGIS team is bringing together viewpoints from a wide range of experts in key global locations, including Japan and Indonesia, where there are uniquely strong cultural factors in human relationships with machine systems.

AEGIS is supported by funding from the Responsible AI UK Impact Accelerator, partnership with Japan’s National Institute of Informatics (NII) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), collaboration with Monash University (Indonesia), and engagement with the UK’s Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
